State Funded

Adult Developmental Vocational Services (ADVP)​

ADVP is a day service which provides organized activities for individuals with Developmental Disabilities to prepare the individual to live and work as independently as possible. The activities and services of ADVP are designed to address the principles of normalization and community integration.

Innovations Wavier

NC Innovations is a Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waiver. The NC Innovations Waiver is designed to provide an array of community based services and supports to promote choice, control and community membership. UDI offers a variety of individual and group services funded by the Innovations waiver.

Day Supports (Habilitation Service):

Day Supports provide assistance to clients with obtaining, keeping, or improving self-help, socialization and adaptive skills.

Community Living and Supports (Habilitation Service):

Community Living and Supports (CLS) is a newer service to the Innovations Waiver and combines the older services of In-Home Skill Building and Personal Care. CLS services can include:

  • Personal care (eating, bathing, dressing, hygiene, and other activities of daily living)
  • Training to enable clients to acquire and maintain skills that promote more independence
  • Assisting the client with housekeeping chores such as bed making, dusting, and vacuuming if these chores are incidental to client care and are essential to client health and welfare rather than family needs.
  • Monitoring of the client’s health
  • Assisting the individual with transferring, walking, and use of special mobility/speech devices.
  • Additional support to the client’s family and natural supports through an array of services that are needed to maintain the client’s life in the community.
Respite: Individual (Support Service):

Respite Services provide periodic support and relief to primary caregiver(s) from the responsibility of caring for the client. This service enables caregivers to meet or participate in planned or emergency events, etc. Respite Services can include overnight, weekend care; emergency or continuous care up to ten consecutive days.

Supported Employment Services (Habilitation Service):​

Supported Employment Services provide clients with assistance in choosing, acquiring, and maintaining a job in settings with people who do not have disabilities.

B3 Wavier

B3 Respite: Individual (Support Service):
